Mr and Mrs D. Fraser, of Eketahuna, announce the engagement of their daughter, Hazel, to Winston Leonard Holloway, of Nireaha. The following sick and wounded Wairarapa soldiers recently returned to New Zealand: —Private H. E. Frew, Pihautea, Featherston; Gunner S. G. Slater, Greytown; Private J. F. Sppra, Carterton. The funeral of the late Miss J. C. Nielson took place at Mauriceville West on Saturday afternoon, there being a large attendance of district settlers and’ others. The Rev David McNeur officiated. Many beautfiul wreaths were in evidence. The pallbearers were Messrs H. Mortensen, D. Johansen, R. Nielson, L. Hood, C. Johansen and A. Forsberg.
