A notice board at the Porte Doree. one of the thoroughfares leading out of Paris, indicating, "To the aerodrome,” was found one morning recently with the added letters “R.A.F.” Another signboard, pointing the way to the German headquarters on the Place St. Augustin, in the heart of Paris, had written along the top "Vive de Gaulle!” The Frenchman who wrote it in the dark ofi? night risked his life to show his hatred of the Nazi invader’ and confidence in the Free French leader.
