MRS BETTS’S PARTY
CONCERT IN MASTERTON. Mrs J. A. Betts’s concert party presented a varied programme in Masterton on Saturday night. The audience was most enthusiastic and a happy feeling prevailed throughout the programme, encores being the order of the evening. The following was the programme:—Military chorus and ballet; solos, Miss M. Nitz, Miss D. Mahoney; tiny tots; Miss J. Evans and chorus; “Double Damask” (sketch), Miss J. Evans, Mrs M. Beetham Junr., and Miss Shearer; song and dance, Miss B. Hirst; medley trio, Mesdames Crisp, C. C. Cooke and Miss J. Evans; tap ballet; sketch, Mrs Edna Paterson; song, Miss Hirst; “Apple Song” scena, chorus and ballet; tap dance, Miss V. Price; song, Mrs J. Moss; dance duo, Mrs H. Morris and Miss E. Corlett. Items were also given by soldiers. The' accompaniments were played by Mesdames H. M. Morton and Crisp and Miss Shearer. The sketches were arranged by Miss Edna Paterson and the tap dances by Miss B. Hirst.
