OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS
INDUSTRY & SPORT (To the Editor.) Sir, —I am sure the following items of news published in the Monday newspapers will make pleasant reading for hundreds of our people: —“Farming Industry” not essential industry; “Sporting Invasion” to Reefton trotting meeting. Special railway excursion train. Record crowds and “tote” takings at Trentham, Frankton, etc., etc., etc. Race meetings held on Saturday. Truly a fine war effort. If it wasn't all so serious and wrong, it would make a cat laugh.—Yours, etc., DISGUSTED. Masterton, March 10.
