Federal officials have begun a rigorous investigation into a series of fires on the Delaware River waterfront. Firemen worked for six hours yesterday to extinguish flames in the engine room of the tanker British Freighter, which caught fire in the store room over the fuel tanks on Thursday. Another freighter was damaged by a fii’e below decks on Friday. Federal Bureau Investigation agents regard the outbreaks as serious.
