BANDOENG QUIET
PEOPLE DOING NORMAL WORK SEVERAL RAID ALARMS. DEMOLITIONS IN SURABAYA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) BANDOENG, March 6. Bandoeng underwent several air raid alarms today. Japanese planes flew '-over, apparently bound for other objectives, without dropping bombs. The situation in Bandoeng is fairly quiet, the population going about its work normally. The Government has ordered the destruction of liquor stocks in towns
where a Japanese occupation is imminent in order to prevent the invaders imbibing and causing disturbances. The Government has demolished certain installations in Surabaya, in line with the scorched earth policy.
