ST. MATTHEW’S SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP AND OTHER EVENTS. LIST OF PRIZE-WINNERS. St. Matthew’s School was fortunate in having a perfect day for its annual swimming sports yesterday. There was a large attendance of parents and friends from all over the Wairarapa. Miss Lloyd, the games mistress, was in charge of the programme and the races were swum off in quick succession. Messrs Hugo, Sydney Smith, Boddington and Wallace acted as judges of the swimming and Mr Pauling Ihe diving. The winners of the championships were June Smith (senior swimming), Adrienne Irwin (junior swimming), April Thompson (senior diving), M. Hugo and A. Irwin, equal (junior diving).
