HUNDRED POLES SHOT REPRISAL FOR KILLING OF POLICEMAN. THREAT TO CUT OFF FOOD SUPPLIES. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 5. The Germans have shot 100 Poles as a reprisal for an attack on two German policemen, one of whom was killed. The announcement was made in Warsaw on Wednesday by the German Governor of the Polish capital, Fischer, who ordered that the details should be placarded all over the city. Fischer then threatened the Polish population of Warsaw that in case of further attempts against the German authorities the distribution of rationed food will cease.
