CHURCH SERVICES

At 11 a.m. tomorrow a special service, at which members of the military forces will parade, will be held at St. Matthew's Church. Archdeacon Rich will be the preacher and also at the evening service which will begin at 6 o’clock. The Rev. I. C. Edwards will conduct the evening service at Kuripuni and the Rev. H. Taepa that at Upper Plain. The meetings at the Salvation Army Citadel on Sunday will be conducted by Mr and Mrs Leighton in the morning, and by Brigadier and Mrs Perry in the evening. At the Methodist Church tomorrow the services will be conducted by the Rev. J. H. Haslam. Mr Haslam is an ex-president of the Conference of the Methodist Church and is conducting the services during the absence of the Rev. H. S. Kings, who is on military service. There will be a harvest thanksgiving service in the afternoon at Rangitumau, at which Mr Haslam will be the preacher. At Kuripuni, in the evening, a harvest thanksgiving service will be held and will be conducted by the Rev. H. S. Kings. The morning service will be observed as a family service. The Rev. D. McNeur will conduct the services at the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church tomorrow and at Mauriceville West at 1.30 p.m. and at Eketahuna at 3 p.m.
