NAVY LEAGUE
PATRIOTIC WORK PACKING OF WOOLLEN GARMENTS SERVICES ACKNOWLEDGED. After the last meeting of the Navy League, 94 woollen garments were packed by the wool committee and were sent to Wellington for shipment overseas. For help with this work the committee wish to thank the folowing: —Mesdames Beadle, Blake, Thirtle, W. H. Robieson, Holmes, Milne, T. F. Watson, Bergen, A. Caselberg, G. Williams, R. Johnstone, F. Whyte, D. Speedy, H. Mawley, H. M. Boddington, C. T. H. Richardson, Henderson, Mac Michael, Ractliffe, W. Andrew, Bassett, senr., W. Cameron, Blair, Beban, Gawith, J. Caselberg, Morgan Miler, L. C. Broad, Bagley, Milne, Carrick, Walter Cameron, Hiddleston, Dakin, B. Vallance, Misses B. McKay, Nicoll, Hathaway, Maunsell, Robins, Munro, S. Cameron, M. Cameron, C. Cameron, M. McLaren, Winhall, members of Wangaehu Knitting Circle and Church of Epiphany Knitting Circle. The next lot of garments will be packed on Tuesday, as well as a parcel of clothing for the Seamen’s Mission. Gifts of suits, shirts, boots, etc., for men who have lost their belongings as the result of their vessels being torpedoed, will be gratefully received.
