BUILDING SOCIETY
WORKMEN’S FRIEND NO. 2. MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. The monthly meeting of the directors of the Workmen's Friend No. 2 Building Society was held last night, Mr Wm. Kemp presiding. There were also present: Messrs T. B. Braggins, A. V. Dixon, E. H. Morton, C. W. Walker, E. J. Brown, H. L. Price and S. M. Gilding. An apology for absence was received from Mr A. E. Hubbard. The finance report as submitted by the secretary was confirmed. An application from a member for the transfer of his appropriation to a National Savings bank account was approved. The action of the secretary in instructing the society’s solicitors to prepare mortgages in connection with two recent appropriations was approved. It was resolved that the annual meeting of the Society be held at the secretary's office on Mondty, March 30, at which meeting an appropriation of £5OO by ballot will be held. The annual accounts and balance sheet as presented by the secretary were approved, and the secretary was authorised to have the same printed for circulation to members.
