WOMEN’S BRANCH ANNUAL MEETING IN- MASTERTON OFFICERS ELECTED FOR YEAR. The fourth annual meeting of the Masterton Women’s Branch of the New Zealand Labour Party was held in the Odd Fellows’ Hall yesterday afternoon, Mrs Robertson piesiding over a large attendance. The annual balance sheet, which was adopted, showed a considerable increase in funds. The president stated in her report that parcels had been sent during the year to the sons and husbands of members who were in the forces overseas and also again in time for Christmas. She also expressed the good wishes of the branch to all who had relations overseas. In moving the adoption of the annual report, Mrs Robertson stated that she did not intend to seek reelection as president. She thanked members for their loyal support in the past and expressed the hope that the same support would be given to the in-coming president. The annual report was adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mrs Copp; vicepresident, Mrs Robertson; secretary, Mrs McCord: committee, Mesdames Dixon, Prescott, Perfect, McWhinnie and Loader; delegates to the L.R.C., Mesdames Copp and McCord; delegates to the Red Cross Society, Mesdames Robertson and Loader. The serving of afternoon tea brought a very enjoyable meeting to a close.
