The Wairarapa Cricket Association’s championship matches were continued on Saturday when, wins were obtained by the Red Star and Old Boys seniors. SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP Red Star v Lansdowne. — The Red Star and Lansdowne teams met on the Park Oval, the former securing a five point win. In a score of 64 for Red Star A Bell hit five 6’s and eight 4’s. Scores: Red Star 181 (Bell 64, G. Peterson 36, F. Hoar 17, Lambourne 15; Jones 3 for 28, A. Whiteman 3 for 46, Groves 2 for 40, O’Reilly 1 for 13, Linder 0 for 36). Lansdowne 162 (Linder 42, Hedley 27, Jones 22, Groves 15; Hoar 7 for 74, Rew 3 for 51, Bell 0 for 20). Old Boys v Wairarapa College.—At the College ground Old Boys won on the first innings. Scores: Old Boys 141 (Patrick 73, Mottram 19, Shearer 17; Welch 4 for 38, Schofield 3 for 40, Sweeney 3 for 51).
