WOMEN’S INSTITUTE MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.! At the monthly meeting of the Hastwells Women’s Institute, Mrs Ngatuere presided over a good attendance of members. The competitions resulted as follows: ■ —Seniors: Oatina biscuits. Mrs K. Ngatuere 1, Mrs Burt 2, Mrs Madsen 3. Juniors: Miss M. Manihera 1, Miss B. Caseley 2, Miss E. Dick 3. Man’s buttonhole: Miss B. Caseley 1, Miss A. Dick 2, Mrs K. Ngatuere 3. The game which was conducted by Mrs Burt was won by Mrs Wilton. Mrs Ngatuere read the motto for the month.
The roll call, which was given by Mrs Thorby, was “My Favourite Pastime.” Mrs Wilton was thanked for having judged the competitions. The hostesses, Mrs Thorby and Miss P. Manihera, served afternoon tea.
