High Street North to South, as far as Park Road: W. York and G. Mayger. Kent Street: J. H. Harvey and W. Hills. Rhodes Street: G. Steven. Wyndham Street: JNo appointment so far. Area No. 2.—Deputy Chief Warden: W. J. Couling. High Street (West side): D. Gillespie. Belvedere Street and Taylor Street: W. Routhan. Broadway and Davey Street: W. S. Borman and C. H. Barber. Pembroke Street: J. Freddy and W. G. George. Victoria Street: W. McPherson and H. R. Blade. Area No. 3. —Chief Warden: W. F. Stent. High Street (East) to Wakelin Street corner: C. Teal and A. Hansen. Holloway Street: C. Baynes. Tyne Street and Dixon Street: R. W. Roydhouse and F. 'B. Knutson. Park Road: W. C. Deller. Area No. 4. —Deputy Chief Warden: J. A. Daglish. High Street (West side) to Brooklyn Road: J. Newbould and J. McKenzie. Costley Street: R. A. Copeland. High Street and Side Streets to Borough boundary: G. Edge and F. Curry. Clifton Avenue: W. W. Kidd and R. Priest. Rexwood Street and Garrison Street: E. Clark, A. J. Lindop and C. C. Kitchen. Brooklyn Road: O. Anderson. Area No. 5. —Deputy Chief Wardens: Fathers Devlin and Connor. High Street (East side from Wakelin Street to Howard Street, inclusive): J. Gorman. Howard Street to Moreton Road (inclusive): J. McCann and H. Merwood. Moreton Road to Borough boundary: A. F. Peters and C. Moore. Wakelin Street: J. A. T. Stevens and G. Benge. Richmond Road: H. Catt and W. Martin. Seddon Street: H. Lorenzen. Dance at King's Theatre. On Saturday evening, in the King’s Theatre, there will be held a dance by the Y.M.C.A. and Citizens’ Committee. The ladies’ committee is sparing no effort to make the dance a success. The prices of admission are: Civilians Is 6d; men in uniform, Is. Messrs Keith Reid and P. Beere have been appointed M’s.C., and the music will be supplied by Udy's Orchestra. Bowling. In a game in the colts singles competition played on the Carterton green, E. A. Pankhurst defeated W. Billing-' ton, 24/10. Boy Scouts’ Card Party. There was a fair attendance at the weekly card party held by the Boy Scout committee in the band room. The prize winners were: Ladies, Mesdames Birchell and Patterson; men, Messrs F. Jackson, Junr., and J. Lenihan, Senr. Black-out of Lights. The Power Board employees commenced work this morning on the blacking-out of the street lights and this evening there will be an almost complete black-out as far as street lights are concerned. REGENT THEATRE TONIGHT’S PROGRAMME. “Major Barbara,” Bernard Shaw’s great picture, will be shown tonight. It is the most brilliant offering of the past year, with Wendy Hiller in the leading role.
