STATE THEATRE

WESTERN AND THRILLER. Long considered one of Zane Grey’s most thrilling stories, “Last of the Duanes,” which will be shown tonight, is an even more thrilling motion picture. The interesting story follows the adventures of Buck Duane, who avenges his father’s murder, and is forced to flee to the open country. George Montgomery as Buck Duane, is superb. Lynne Roberts and Eve Arden are excellent as the two girls. The supporting film, “Charlie Chan in Rio,” brings Sydney Toler to the screen once more as Charlie Chan. In this picture he gives a-superb performance in solving a double murder mystery.
