REVERSAL OF FORM ALL VEIL INQUIRY. EXPLANATION ACCEPTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) MELBOURNE, February 24. Stewards accepted the explanation of parties concerned following the inquiry into All Veil’s reversal of form in winning the Hawksburn Handicap, compared with its running in the Oakleigh Plate. The trainer, Wolters, said the horse was suffering from a splint and the soft going assisted it in the Hawksburn Handicap. The rider, Hartney, said the horse was sore in the Oakleigh Plate. The part owner, Mr W. Balloch, said the stable was not associated with the Hawksburn betting plunge on All Veil. The other part owner, Mr G. J. Barton, is at present in New Zealand.
