Nine Japanese bombers, escorted by fighters, made the first daylight attack on Port Moresby this afternoon. The town was untouched, the raiders concentrating on the aerodrome, where they dropped about fifty heavy highexplosive and anti-personnel bombs. The damage was slight, but one member of the R.A.A.F. was killed and one soldier and three natives were wounded. The attack was by far the heaviest yet launched against the Papuan capital. _
