HOME GUARD INSTRUCTION CONTINUED. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the Home Guard parades under instructors Sgt.-Majors Burling and Stanton, rifle and bayonet drill, musketry training and target shooting were again indulged in. There was not as good an attendance as usual. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs Duncan and family have returned from a few days spent in Masterton. Mr Ross Seymour has been spending a holiday with Mr and Mrs Bicknell, Maungaroa. Mr John Reed, who has been an inmate of the Pahiatua Hospital for some time, has now been discharged and is much improved in health. Miss Grace Harman is staying with her sister, Mrs Charles Richardson, Eketahuna. The many friends of Mr J. Bellshaw will regret to hear that he has had to undergo a serious operation in the Pahiatua private hospital and will wish him a speedy recovery. Mr C. Liverton left during the week to enter the air training camp at Wigram.
