WOMEN’S DIVISION PAHAUTEA BRANCH MEETING. (■'Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Pahautea branch of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union was held at the residence of the president. Mrs Ross, there being a good attendance. One new member was enrolled. A motion of sympathy was passed to the relatives of the late Mrs Enoka. It was decided that some of the members assist each month at the Service Club in Featherston. The competitions resulted as follows: Plain cake. Mrs Farquhar; best bloom. Mrs Farquhar 1, Mrs Sadler 2. Mrs Ross entertained members at afternoon tea. RED CROSS SOCIETY WEEKLY EUCHRE PARTY. « The weekly euchre party in connection with the Red Cross Society was held yesterday and was well attended. At cards. Mrs Lowell and Mrs Kinsey tied for first place. Competitions were won by Mrs R. Watson and Mrs J. Sadler. Donations of gqpds wore received from Mesdames Carlyon, Lawson and Willett, and cash donations from Miss E. Viles (£2 2s) and Mrs Say well (ss). Bowling. In the Featherston Bowling Club’s singles championship B. Fuge beat J.
Thompson. In the pairs championship W. Rowles and J. Higgison boat F. Talbot and H. R. Bloxam. COSY THEATRE WEDNESDAY’S PROGRAMME.. Tomorrow night one of the sauciest and most amusing comedy sensations of the year, “She Knew All the Answers.” featuring Joan Bennett and Franchot Tone will be presented. (Recommended by the Censor foi’ Adults).
