LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST DULL WITH RAIN. SLOWLY IMPROVING TOMORROW. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Moderate southerly winds predominating. Weather dull with further rain, but slowly improving tomorrow. Moderate temperatures. FURTHER OUTLOOK: improvement continuing. LOCAL REPORT. Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:— Barograph., 30.12; shade temperature, maximum, 65.1; minimum, 56.5; terrestrial, 54.1; rain, 158 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 110 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today.
