SHOPPING HOURS
* EARLIER CLOSING ADVOCATED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A motion advocating the elimination of the late shopping night in Wellington in the interests of lighting restrictions and blackout arrangements was passed at a meeting of the Shop Assistants’ Union this week. The meeting also urged that the closing hour of all shops should be not later than 5.30 o'clock.
