CHANGES WANTED

IN BRITISH CABINET DEMEANOUR OF HOUSE OF COMMONS. NEWSPAPER WARNINGS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, February 17. After a lively hour of discussion in the House of Commons, Mr

Churchill promised that the .capitulation of Singapore would be fully discussed in a debate in the near future. The Commons were less sympathetic toward Mr Churchill today than at any time since he assumed the Premiership. The general demeanour of the House indicated that the desire for a change in the personnel of the Government was fairly widespread. Some of the London newspapers warn Mr Churchill that he cannot carry on single-handed, and they ask him to get rid of incompetents who are hindering the war effort.
