SCHOOL ASSOCIATION TREASURER ELECTED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Homo and School Association was held last evening, Mrs Carlyon presiding in the absence of Miss Card. Mr A. S. Kilsby was elected treasurer. RED CROSS SOCIETY ; EUCHRE TOURNAMENT. A successful euchre tournament was held in the Red Cross Society’s rooms I yesterday afternoon resulting in the sum of £2 being realised. The card tournament was won by Mrs Lawson, and the competitions by Mrs Elliot and Mrs McKenna. Donations of goods were .made by Mesdames Lang. C. Skipage, Sharp. McKenna, Carlyon. Baker and Feast, and cash donations by Mrs D. 11. S. Diddiford (£5), and Miss E. Viles (ss). Personal.
Mrs Lowell is spending a few days in Wellington. Bowling. In the championship singles G. O’Nealc beat H. Bloxam, and J. Thompson beat H. Rolls. In the championship rinks competition W. Higgison, F. Talbot, L. James and H. Rolls beat J. Hutana. W. Robinson, H. McNamara and J. Higgison. Croquet. In the Featherston Croquet Club’s competitions. Mrs Roy Donald beat Mrs Allen Donald in the Matthew's Cup. Mrs R. Donald beat. Mrs Batchelor in the first life for the B championship. COSY THEATRE I TOMORROW'S PROGRAMME. Tomorrow night the famous comedy of 1941 will be screened—“ The Navy ' Steps Out,” with George Murphy and Lucille Ball in the loading roles. (Ap- i proved for Universal Exhibition). 1
