ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

SUCCESSFUL DANCE. The Masonic Hall was filled on Saturday night when the St. John Ambulance Brigade held a dance. Mr C. S. McQuade was M.C. All present thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The music was supplied by Jack Barnes and his Rhythm Boys, and extras were played by Miss L. Hopkins and Mr C. Jackson (piano-accordion). Much appreciated tap dances were rendered by Miss Julie Brown and Miss Vivian Platt, while an Irish jig by Miss N. McMullen was warmly applauded. A Monte Carlo waltz competition was won by Corporal and Mrs L. Whittaker, and a Lucky Spot one-step was won by Miss C. Lester and Mr Butler. The ladies’ committee supervised the supper arrangements. Mr McQuade, after thanking patrons for their attendance, announced that other dances would be held on the following dates: March 20, April 11, May 9, June 20, July 18, August 15, September 12, October 10, November 21, and December 5.
