OBITUARY MRS TAMAR WOODBURY. (“Times-Age” Special.) There died in Wellington yesterday, Mrs Tamar Woodbury, wife of Mr M. C. Woodbury, of Carterton, who was born in Laguna, Woollomba, New South Wales. The late Mrs Woodbury was married thirty years ago, and came to New Zealand, taking up her residence in Carterton, where she has lived ever since. One son, Mr Matthew James Woodbury, of Palmerston North, and one daughter, Mrs Iris May Trass, of Masterton, are, with Mr Woodbury, left to mourn their loss. The'deceased was of a retiring disposition, and readily gave assistance to many deserving causes. The relatives will have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends. The funeral of the late Mrs Woodbury will take place at Clareville Cemetery on Monday next after a service at her late residence, Davy Street, Carterton, commencing at 1.45 p.m. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs Wicks, who have been staying with Mr and Miss Oates, Pembroke Street, Carterton, returned to Dannevirke yesterday. Mr Arthur Maras, who was formerly in business in Carterton as a plumber, and who now resides in Wanganui, has been made a corporal in the 13th Battalion of the National Military Reserve, Wanganui. The friends of Mr Jas. F. Wallis, who is a patient in the Masterton Hospital, will regret to learn that it has been found necessary to put his legs in splints again. Weasel in Bed. A Matarawa farmer and his wife had an unpleasant experience one night this week. On retiring to rest for the night they were astonished to find a weasel snugly coiled up in the bed. The intruder was finally caught and destroyed. REGENT THEATRE TONIGHT’S PROGRAMME. The comedy success, “Arise My Love,” with Ray Milland, Claudette Colbert and Walter Abel in the leading roles, will be screened tonight. (Recommended by the Censor for Adults).
