MR CORDELL HULL

PLANNING A VACATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, February 12. Wearied by the terrific strain of diplomatic events and suffering from a prolonged attack of an influenza cold, the Secretary of State, Mr Cordell Hull, is planning an extended vacation in Florida. His friends say he may be away for two months and others that he will not return to the State Department, but for the present Mr Hull is not giving serious thought to resigning. Mr Hull is sadly depressed over the state of world affairs and distressed over the Vichy Government’s pusillanimous conduct.
