Mrs A. Honeyman, of Marton, is visiting Masterton. Misses Kummer, Cole Street, Masterton, are visiting Wellington. Miss M. Thompson, Renall Street, Masterton, is visiting Paekakariki. Miss Braithwaite, who has been spending a few days in Masterton, has returned to Carterton. Mrs Akers-Jones, Rangitikei, has been staying with her mother, Mrs J. J. Kennedy, Perry Street, Masterton. The death occurred early this morning of David Bartholomew, youngest son of Mr and Mrs D. B. Curry, of College Street, Masterton, at the age of 2 years and 10 months, after an illness extending over a period of six weeks. The sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be extended to the parents in their loss. The interment will be a private one. The Very Rev. Dr. Rasmussen, S.M., former Rector of the Seminary, Greenmeadows, has been appointed parish priest of Mt. Albert, and the Rev. Father S. O’Connor, S.M., parish priest of Whangarei. The Rev. Father J. O’Connor, S.M., in charge of Mt. Albert for the past six years, has gone to Blenheim, and the Rev. Father M. Murphy, S.M., in charge at Whangarei since 1936, has been transferred to Nelson. The Rev. Father J. O. Hendren, S.M., has been transferred from St. Mary’s parish, Christchurch, to be parish priest at Otaki.
