CARTERTON
BOWLING CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP PAIRS. ("Times-Age” Special.) A champion pairs match played between Reg Thompson and Harrington (s) and Kilmister and Barr (s), was won by the former by 26/17. School Committee. A meeting of members of the Carterton School Committee will be held on Monday, at 8 o'clock. The Dental Clinic Committee will meet at 7.30 p.m. Personal Items. Mrs W. C .Robertson, who has been visiting Carterton, returned to Wellington yesterday. Mr W. Hayden, who underwent an operation at the Masterton Hospital, has returned home. Unpaid Rates. The Carterton Borough Council notify that all rates not paid on or before February 16, will be subject to a penalty of 10 per cent. Traffic Regulations. The Traffic Inspector, Mr Ancell, in conversation with the “Times-Age” correspondent said that he wished to draw the attention of the motoring public to the fact that the motor traffic regulations must be observed, particularly so in the case where an official is on point duty when motorists must indicate the way they are travelling. REGENT THEATRE TONIGHT'S PROGRAMME. A tensely packed love story will be screened tonight—“ Virginia,” with Madeleine Carroll and Fred McMurray in the leadiflg roles.
