“WASHINGTON BIAS”
DOMINIONS & THE UNITED STATES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, February 5. A National Broadcasting Company commentator today quoted a high British diplomat who deplored that certain Dominions were turning to Washington rather than to London and expressed the opinion that it was most desirable that the Pacific war council should be one with political headquarters in London and military strategy directed from Washington. The United Press of America quoted the New Zealand Minister, Mr Nash, as favouring Washington as headquarters for both the political and military divisions, of the war council.
