PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) Miss Berryman, Island Bay, has been appointed infant mistress at the Kahutara School. Gunner F. H. Playle, of Trentham, is staying with his parents, Mr and Mrs H. C. Playle, Kahutara. Mr and Mrs W. Robinson have received a letter from their son, Signaller C. D. (Ben) Robinson, who is a prisoner of war in Stalag Camp, Germany, in which he says several of the New Zealand prisoners had formed a band and gave concerts. He himself was recovering from an attack of diphtheria and was in comfortable quarters. COSY THEATRE TONIGHT’S PROGRAMME. A double feature programme—“Give Us Wings,” featuring the Dead- End Kids, and the Little Tough Guys, and “Diamond Frontier,” with Victor McLaglen in the leading role, will be screened tonight. (Recommended by the Censor for Adults).
