ARMS FOR EIRE
SPEEDING UP OF SUPPLIES. NEGOTIATIONS WITH BRITAIN. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) LONDON, February 5. Negotiations are proceeding between Britain and Eire for speeding a supply of arms and heavy equipment for Southern Ireland, says the “Standard’s” Dublin correspondent. The Irish people believe their army will be able to hold I an invading force, pending sea and air reinforcements from the opponents of the aggressor.
