SUPPLIES OF ALUMINIUM AND SHIPPING. FREIGHTER BEING LAUNCHED EVERY THREE DAYS. NEW YORK, February 4. Canada’s aluminium industry can supply the war production needs. of Canada and Britain, and in addition furnish 750,000,0001 b. of aluminium to the United States in the next two years, declared Mr Victor Goggin, general manager of wartime housing in Canada. •He said Canada now had 17 major and 58 smaller shipyards from which had been launched 80 corvettes and 60 minesweepers. In 1942 Canada expected to launch a corvette every three days and a freighter every five days.
