LICKING THEIR WOUNDS
Japanese on Batan Peninsula LULL IN THE FIGHTING REPORTED LONDON, February 5. In the Philippines, the Japanese are licking their wounds after a series of savage attacks on General MacArthur’s forces. There has been a lull in the battle on the Batan Peninsula during the last 24 hours. Only minor patrol encounters are reported.
