CROQUET INTER-CLUB MATCH. (“Times-Age” Special.) The following were the results of the games played in a B grade match between the Haunui and Eketahuna croquet clubs: — Mesdames- White and Symons beat Mbsdames Hart and Daniel, 26/9; Mesdames Rasmussen and Wilson beat Mesdames Olsen and Dickson, 26/10; Mrs White lost to. Mrs Hart, 19/26; Mrs Rasmussen beat Mrs Dickson. 26/8; Mrs Symons beat Mrs Daniel. 26/5; Mrs Wilson beat Mrs Olsen, 26/12. Personal. Miss Daysh, Car ter ton, has been appointed to a position on the staff of the Featherston Primary School. Nursing Sister Entertained. There was a large attendance of Red Cross Society members and friends at the society’s-rooms last evening when Sister Molly Cundy was'entertained. In a euchre tournament the prizewinners were Miss; Donald; (first) 1 and Miss E. Wilkinson (consolation). The president of the Red' Cross Society, Mrs G. S. Sharp, asked Sister Cundy to accept a cheque from, the Featherston branch of the Red' Cross Society and friends. Mrs Sharp, referred in eulogistic terms to the personal qualities of Sister Cundy. Mr J. W. Card, on behalf of the Patriotic Society, said that Sister Cundy had been born in Featherston, and spoke of the record of her father, Mr W. H. Cundy, in the Boer War. His great grandfather had been one of the pioneers in the Hutt. Mr. Card: asked Sister Cundy to accept an envelope containing a sum. of money from the Patriotic Society. Dr. G. S. Sharp replied on behalf of Sister Cundy. Mrs Cundy was presented with a shoulder spray by Mrs Sharp. Supper was handed round. Miss Card' was the winner of the lucky x cup. The prizes were donated by Mesdames Willett and Feast.. Interesting Lecture. An interesting lecture arranged by the Transport Commandant, Mrs Williams, was given on Tuesday night by Miss Van Staveren to members of the Red Cross Society’s Transport Corps and others interested. COSY THEATRE TONIGHT’S- PROGRAMME. ' A. sparkling British comedy of: thrills and suspence, “Missing Ten Days, with Rex. Harrison and Karen Verne in the leading roles, will be the feature tonight. (Approved for Universal Exhibition) .
