f IN EVENT OF EMERGENCY. THREE REGIONAL CONTROLLERS APPOINTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. A statement that three regional controllers had been appointed in the Dominion to exercise supreme authority in the control and distribution of supplies in the event of enemy action, was made today by Mr P. Shaw/’chairman of the Technical Supplies Committee of the E.P.S. The controller for the whole Auckland Province will be Mr A. H. Honeyfield, manager of the Internal Marketing Department, Auckland. Should an emergency arise, Mr Honeyfield will have full powers overall local supply controllers of food, sugar, wheat and flour, fruit, vegetables, building, timber, transport, oil. fuel and electricity. He will collaborate with other controllers and co-or-dinate all Government supplies. “We view Mr Honeyfield’s appointment with a great deal of satisfaction,” said Mr Shaw.
