OBITUARY

MRS SELINA JACKSON. The death occurred this morning of Mrs Selina Jackson, widow of the late Mr Murray Jackson, of 61 Cole Street, Masterton. The late Mrs Jackson, who was born at Ludlam’s Gardens, Lower Hutt, in 1855, was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Spearink, who arrived in New Zealand in 1852 from Middlesex, England. She had been an active member of the Methodist Church ever since her marriage in 1876. For many years she was an enthusiastic member of the Masterton Methodist Ladies’ Guild and Missionary Auxiliary and was an ardent supporter of the temperance movement, being a working member of the W.C.T.U. The funeral will take place on Thursday, leaving the residence following a service at II a.m., for the Masterton Cemetery.
