REGENT THEATRE

“MY LIFE IS YOURS.”

One of the most baffling cases of the Dr Kildare series is unravelled in “My Life is Yours,” which will be shown tonight. The outcome of an emergency operation upon an ice skating queen takes the story to a point where the famous doctor finds his reputation at stake; it. carries through to a court case in which the trial makes one of the striking features of a stirring story, the eventful run of which has a wide-range background of theatre, hospital and court. In the strong cast Lew Ayres does full justice to the role of Dr Kildare, and Laraine Day plays admirably as a nurse, while the able acting by Lionel Barrymore rises to a most stirring point when the court scene is enacted. In addition, the cast is further strengthened by the inclusion of the new comedy player Red Skelton, who made his first appearance in “Whistling in the Dark.” All the principals are provided with adventure and comedy as they turn medical detectives to solve the problem of a malpractice suit. Ayres plays the part of defendant and principal detective.
