GREYTOWN
SOCIAL GATHERING WELCOME TO MINISTER. (“Times-Age” Special.) A very pleasant social gathering was held in the Presbyterian Sunday school last evening to welcome the new church minister, Mr Preston, wno was accompanied by his wife and daughter. The Rev. R. S. Keenan, of the Featherston Presbyterian Church, occupied the chair. Mr Keenan, who has accepted a call to Methven, was farewelled. Musical items were given as follows: Vocal duet, Mesdames H. Farley and L. Greathead; elocutionary item, Miss Hughla McPhee; song, Miss McKenzie. The accompanists were Miss Smith and Mrs Fauvel. Supper was provided by the ladies. Personal Items. Mrs Fauvel, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs A.’Johnston, Main St., Mrs W. O’Connor, Karori, is staying with Mrs Ralph, Main Street. Mr L. A.- Hayman is visiting Wellington. Mr and Mrs Sugrue, Greytown, have received word that their son, Terry of the R.N.Z.A.F., has arrived safe and well at his destination. TOWN HALL TOMORROW’S PROGRAMME. Tomorrow’s programme will be headed by “The Saint's Vacation,” featuring Hugh Sinclair and Sally Grey, with a special supporting programme. It is thrilling drama. (Recommended by Censor for Adults.)
