STATE SCHOOLS
TO RE=OPEN NEXT WEEK DELAY IN SPECIAL CASES. STATEMENT BY MINISTER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Schools will reopen next week after the long' summer vacation. Primary schools in the Wellington education district are to re-open on Monday, and most of the post-primary schools the following day, though this may not be possible in some cases. “To remove any misunderstanding. I wish to make it clear to parents that primary, secondary and technical schools will reopen at the usual time in February,” said the Minister of Education, Mr Mason, last evening. “Only where Special and exceptional circumstances are in operation will the usual date of re-opening be departed from, and in such cases the education board, or the board of governors, will give notification in the public Press of the date decided on for the deferred reopening.”
