SOUTH FEATHERSTON
PATRIOTIC EFFORT EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance at the euchre party and dance held in the South Featherston Hall by the War Service Committee. The prize winners at cards were: —Ladies: Miss Simmonds 1, Mrs Baker 2. Men: Mr A. Gain 1, Mr G. Burt 2. The Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mr Taylor and partner, and Mr Alex Burt and Miss Jean Burt. The music was supplied by Mr M. Ahipene, extras being played by Misses G. Fraser and Tocker and Mr T. Mclntosh. Mr Graham carried out the duties of M.C. The euchre prizes were donated by Mr A. Robertson. Cash donations were received from Mrs Beattie, Miss Simmonds, and an anonymous donor. Personal Items. Mrs F. Benton and family are spending a holiday at Waikanae. Mrs Bain has returned to Featherston after a holiday spent in Wellington. Mrs D. W. Burt has returned from Palmerston North, where she spent a holiday.
