CARTERTON SALE. SATISFACTORY PRICES. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co.. Ltd., report on their Carterton sale yesterday as follows:—There was a fairly big entry of sheep, comprising chiefly lambs. The sale was very buoyant, and all classes sold well. There was also a big cattle entry and prices were firm. Pigs sold at late rates. Prices: — Sheep: Fat b.f.’s, to 21s; fat lambs, 20s 4d, 23s to 24s 6d; fat wethers, 21s 9d to 23s 7d; woolly ewe lambs, 15s to 18s; shorn ewe lambs, to 14s 2d; fat and forward b.f. lambs, to 19s sd; b.f. rape lambs, 15s Bd, 16s 3d to 16s 9d; woolly wether lambs, 12s 7d, 12s lOd, 14s to 16s; shorn wether lambs, to Ils 7d; small b.f. ■lambs, 12s 3d to 14s 9d; small w.w. lambs, 8s 3d to 10s 3d.

Cattle: Springing heifers, to £10; prime heavy S.H. heifers, to £10; prime heavy S.H. cows, to £10; fat cows, £5 10s to £5 15s; fat heifers, to £7 ss; forward cows, £3 2s 6d, £3 12s 6d, £4 10s. £4 15s to £4 17s; store cows, £2 to £2 10s: cows and calves. £3, £4 17s Gel. £5 9s to £6 ss; empty heifers, to £3 2s 6d; steers, to £6 ss.
