HOSPITAL NEEDS
REQUIREMENTS OF SOLDIERS. POSITION IN WAIRARAPA. The provision of hospital accommodation in the Wairarapa for soldiers was discussed by the Wairarapa Hospital Board at a meeting held yesterday afternoon. It was stated that about 170 beds were available at Featherston, Greytown and Masterton, and there was, in addition, a proposal to erect an annexe on the Lansdowne school grounds for further accommodation, if necessary, so as not to interfere with ■ school work. J,t The position appears to be, meantime at any rate, that no school buildings will be required. The accommodation available is as follows: —Master ton, 70 beds; Grey town.20; Featherston, 80. -—'• —*
