WELLINGTON, This Day. ; The 1942 Wellington Cup, run at ' Trentham on Saturday, was a triumph . for the New Zealand Cup winner i Happy Ending, and his rider N, Vaug- ; han, who rode him at Riccarton. There was a large attendance, but compared with the usual Saturday turnover, speculation was below normal. The total for the day was £77,822 10s (win £30,955; place £46,867 10s).
