SMALL BOY IN WAIROA. WENT TO RIVER TO WATCH SWIMMERS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WAIROA, This Day. Dennis Noel Johnson, aged seven, son of Mr and Mrs Arthur Henry Johnson, Wairoa, has been missing from his home since Saturday night. All day yesterday the Wairoa police made a wide search and dragged the river. Dragging operations are being continued today, but up to a late hour they had been unsuccessful. The lad left home on Saturday evening, saying he was going to the river to watch swimmers at the wharf. When he failed to return, his father informed the police.
