CHURCH SERVICES

The Holy Communion will be celebrated at St. Matthew’s Church tomorrow. at 8 a.m. A special military service will be held at 9.30 a.m., and the usual services at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Archdeacon Rich will be the preacher at all services. Troops on leave are invited to join in supper in the Parish Hall following the evening service. The service at Kuripuni will be conducted by Mr N. W. Ninnes. The services at the Masterton Presbyterian Church and at Matahiwi tomorrow will be conducted by the Rt. Rev. John Davie. The Ladies’ Guild will entertain at supper in the McGregor Haff all soldier visitors attending evening service. The meetings of the associated churches )Baptist-Church of Christ) will be held in the Odd Fellows’ Hall while the Y.M.C.A. Hall is otherwise in use.

At the Methodist Church tomorrow the morning service will be conducted by the Rev H. S. Kings. The subject will be “Baffled to Fight Better.” Mr F. G. Rutter will preach in the evening. Mr E. Steer will be the preacher at Mt. Bruce in the afternoon and Mr J. D. Blundell will conduct the evening service at Kuripuni. The meetings at the Salvation Army Citadel on Sunday will be conducted by Major and Mrs Ransom. In the evening the subject will be “The Great Invitation.”
