MARTINBOROUGH

COUNTY AFFAIRS MEETING HELD THIS MORNING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Featherston County Council was held at Martinborough today. The chairman, Mr A. B. Martin, presided. There were also present Messrs R. Smith, D. Cameron, J. C. Bidwill, G. Gillies, L. J. Thompson and Q. Donald. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs J. A. McLeod and R. W. Matthews. Circular letters were received from the Transport Department, the Industrial Union of Employers and the Wai-rarapa-Manawatu Employers’ Federation.

The letters were formally received, the council considering that the matters raised were not within the council’s province. The ranger reported having impounded 12 head of stock.
