YUGOSLAV CABINET
MIKHAILOVITCH BECOMES WAR MINISTER.
DETERMINATION TO FIGHT AXIS.
(By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, January 12.
The Yugoslav Vice-Premier, M. Javanovic, has been appointed Premier, in place of General Simovich, who has been offered a post of high importance for the continuance and development of Yugoslavia’s war effort. General Mikhailovitch, commanding the patriot forces in Yugoslavia, has been appointed War Minister “as <-’a symbol of the Government’s confidence in the cause of his forces and the evidence of the strength of its solidarity with them.”
A statement said the Government now faced a task different from when its constitution was promulgated, for which reason it was felt desirable that the leadership should be political instead of military. The Government reaffirmed its determination to fight against the Axis.
