MAN POWER COMMITTEE CONSIDERS APPEALS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Wairarapa Man Power Committee sat in Eketahuna yesterday afternoon when appeals relating to Territorial service were dealt with. The committee comprised Messrs T. Jordan i

(chairman), L. T. Daniell, F. J.- Lewis and G. F. Whitlock (secretary). Sine die adjournments were granted in the following appeals lodged on the grounds of public interest:— Ivan Gordan, farm hand (appeal lodged by H. E. Jaspers), reservist to serve in Home Guard. F. R. Goggin, second assistant cheesemaker (Rongokokako Cheese Factory). J. E. McKenna, farmer (appeal lodged by reservist). C. W. A. Morrison, farmer (Morrison Bros.), reservist to serve in Home Guard. C. D. Goss (appeal lodged by reservist and W. E. Goss), reservist to join the Home Guard. An appeal by C. E. S. Goss for L. E. W. Goss was adjourned to May 31, 1942. An appeal by J. B. Smith, farmer. was adjourned to April 30, 1942. The following appeals were dismissed: — E. R. Malmanche, first assistant cheesemaker (Rongokokako Cheese Factory), service postponed to February 28, 1942. Athol Mills, cheesemaker (Nireaha Co-op. Dairy), service postponed to January 31, 1942. F. M. Heeney, shepherd (C. Kebbell Estate), service postponed to May 31, 1942.
