NAVAL LOSS
BRITISH CRUISER GALATEA TORPEDOED AND SUNK BY U-BOAT. ADMIRALTY ANNOUNCEMENT. LONDON, Januaary 9. The Admiralty announce that the cruiser Galatea has been torpedoed and sunk by a U-boat. She was a ship of 5220 tons of the Arethusa class and was completed in 1934.
